I’m always on the lookout for cute and comfortable holiday outfits. Soft sweaters are wonderful, especially cashmere. I love leggings and tunics, skirts and sweaters…There are so many wonderful comfy options for outfits, but very few, it seems, for one’s feet.
You may have noticed from our photos, I love shoes. Even though I am nearing the big 6-0, I have not yet retired heels. I wear flats only occasionally—I like at least a little heel. But I could go for some lower heels from time to time, especially if they are both comfortable and cute. I am neither practical nor sensible and don’t plan to become so any time soon. (I figure we might as well get that out of the way, here and now.)
This holiday season, I have been all about cute and snuggly, it’s been a little cooler this year, and I am totally loving it. The weather has been, in short, amazing. I’ve been enjoying all sorts of boots and booties—it’s been lots of fun putting looks together lately. But you can’t wear booties to the ball Cinderella, so finding a few comfortable dress shoes in always in order.
The other day, I got an e-mail from Gwen of Adrian Allen shoes who asked me to give her comfortable and fashionable shoes a try. I must say, I was quite skeptical until I checked out the Adrian Allen website, and though they offer just a very few styles, I saw several I wanted to try.
I chose a pair of Stellas which have a beautiful cutout detail and a jazzy zip up heel with tassel—I didn’t really notice it in the pictures on line, but fell in love the minute I saw them. The quality and craftsmanship is very good. So they definitely passed the cute, and well made tests, but would they pass the comfort test? Most of my shoes range from marginally comfortable—to very comfortable (even my high heels), so I wondered how the Stellas would actually fit in the comfort spectrum. In short, they felt amazing and I couldn’t wait to style them up.
Thank you to Adrian Allen for sending the shoes featured in this post and sponsoring it, as well. The opinions expressed in this post are my own.To get a pair of Adrian Allen Shoes for Yourself, Click Here
