I’ve been focused on curating my spring and summer wardrobe which as evolved into a pretty casual collection of off shoulder dresses and billowy tops. My formal and elegant work wardrobe is called upon less and less as my meetings become more casual and I shift from very corporate work to the artistic and creative world of blogging. In an effort to be more current, I’ve pulled together several super casual work looks.
So when I get “dolled up” for a meeting these days, its less likely to be a suit or sheath dress, both of which I completely love, and more likely to be jeans and a top of some sort. And Roger being Roger loves to take photos, so we run out the front door for a quick outfit of the day photo before I go. I was left wondering what to do with a bunch of random photos of me going to creative meetings with internet experts my daughter’s age. I sprinkled a few onto my Instagram feed and found that they are quite popular, so I decided to showcase them here.
Oh, and we don’t meet at the neighborhood Starbucks either. My new “peeps” meet at trendy places like Buddy Brew, Hyde Park and The Oxford Exchange. Places where you can get great shots for your Instagram feed while conducting business, sipping an exotic latte and looking fleek. Did I say that right? I had to ask because in real life I am not that cool.
Somewhere along the line, I got tired of skinny jeans every single day, and I don’t like the wide leg cropped pants, so I’ve been pulling 1970’s extra long flairs, paired with stuff I’d normally wear with a skirt or suit. It seems to work. I get tired of trends pretty quickly so I have been pulling back from boho, and looking for something structured to throw into the mix, especially for a work type meeting.
