This little piece is about the joys of Taco Tuesday. Everyone loves Taco Tuesday–except people who don’t like tacos, of course. There can’t be many who don’t like tacos, though. Anyway, your favorite blogger (me) was busily working–you know how it is, you get super absorbed in what you’re doing and the next thing you know, three days have passed and you haven’t talked to a single friend, you haven’t gone out anywhere, if you’ve eaten, it’s cereal and maybe you’ve been in your PJ’s all that while. Well, let me tell you something. To write good blog posts, one needs to have a life. Something to write about, something other people will be interested in. I can assure you, no one is interested in rumpled pajamas and matted hair. Plus, I have a pile of clothes begging to be worn, begging for adventure, like clothes do, you know.
So I said to my clothes, “Who wants an adventure? Who wants tacos?” And this floaty bohemian maxi dress says, “I do! Pick me!” So I thought, yes, a floaty dress on a hot breezy day, what could be more perfect. The tag inside the dress even said “BeachLunchLounge”, so aside from the fact that we weren’t at the beach, things were shaping up. Good tacos, at an outdoor restaurant would make it perfect, so we couldn’t go through the Taco Bell Drive through and eat in the car, cause that’s for when we run errands in sweaty yoga pants and we don’t want to be seen, even though almost no one ever goes into a Taco Bell, except Roger. He goes in side fast food restaurants to eat. Not with me, of course.
Back to the tacos and the cute dress. It’s no secret that I love dresses in the summer, well pretty much all the time actually–except when it’s really cold, then I like to wear pants or leggings and big soft sweaters. Anyway, sometimes all it takes is a cute maxi and a taco and suddenly we’re having an adventure. Well eating tacos and running errands. Ok, eating tacos, running errands and looking cute while doing it. A good maxi will do that for you, especially if it says “BeachLunchLounge” inside.
