I have always loved to write, to share my thoughts, to tell stories. I have always loved fashion, beauty, spirituality, and interior design. Although fashion, beauty, design and writing were passions from the first, my dreams were discouraged; written off as frivolous. Instead, I applied my creative skills in the business world until I had my daughter in 1999. I never thought there would be such an amazing creative outlet we now know as blogs. Though I am challenged every day with the technical aspects of blogging, I completely love it and am looking forward to expanding and growing my blog, YouTube Channel and other social media platforms.
I started my blog in earnest in May of 2016, when my website was finally semi-operational. It seemed to take a millennium to get all the bells and whistles working. I started posting three times a week, and low and behold, a few people seemed to like what I was doing. In September, I began looking into Instagram, posting a few photos here and there when it struck me to look for other women my age. Over time, I found a handful of women who also shared an interest in fashion, beauty, travel and design whom I enjoyed following. I loved commenting, and receiving their comments back, and while none of us knew each other, I felt a sense of community.
One standout was CatherineGraceO, (CatherineGraceO.com IG @CatherineGraceO) who always seemed to be having fun, so when she posted an opportunity to participate in the #TheFierce50 campaign, I signed up immediately. In the past couple of weeks, I have gotten to know her a bit, and wow! She is kind, thoughtful and full of energy! It is a huge undertaking to pull together 50 independent, super busy women to create this inaugural campaign.
This first campaign has brought together over 50 bloggers over the age of 50 who are pooling their respective resources. The campaign will also feature a give away featuring the following sponsors.
Onzie @onzie www.onzie.com
Madison Reed @madisonreedllb www.madison-reed.com
HSI Professional @hsiprofessional www.hsiprofessional.com
Awe Inspired @aweinspired_ www.aweinspired.com
We also are recognizing @bethbriggsillustration for the #TheFierce50 illustration. Tania Stephens and I loved her work so much that we commissioned her to do our partner pictures as well.
