Tania Stephens of the 50 Is Not Old blog and I chatted about fashion, blogging and a little about our lives today, and boy did I learn a lot in that short conversation!
After blogging in what feels like a vacuum, it was a breath of fresh air to talk with someone in the business about the business.
I had seen Tania on Instagram last fall when I started posting more intentionally, and looking for other women in my age range. I loved her classic, yet fun modern style and immediately followed her. There is just something about her look that makes you feel immediately comfortable and that she would be a fun person to know.
Tania has been blogging with the 50 Is Not Old blog for just under two years, and has developed huge followings on Instagram, Facebook, her blog, and Pinterest, as well as maintaining a happy marriage, enjoying her three grown kids and four grands. She is active in her local Woman’s Club where she received the ClubWoman of the year award and the local Chamber of Commerce awarded her Volunteer of the Year. Oh, and did I mention she also works full time?
Tania grew up in Tennessee, but has lived in Virginia for about 25 years. In that, our lives are similar: I grew up in Michigan, but have lived in Florida for 30 years. We both feel we’ve put our roots down in our transplanted communities, both serving and volunteering while raising our families (and of course both of us are fashion obsessed).
I loved that Tania was willing to share a huge variety of tips that helped her grow the 50 Is Not Old blog, so I sat and took notes as she shared her ideas. Because I started blogging in earnest last May, Tania’s success in just a year and a half was very inspiring to me. I came away from our conversation energized and with renewed focus.
I hope you’ll stop by and check out her site at: www.50isnotold.com.
