About Nina Anders and Sharing A Journey:
Just a few short years ago, as I drove my daughter to the bus stop, I realized life was changing and so was I. My daughter would be graduating high school and my days as a full-time mom would be over. The business I had run for 20 years was winding down, and my marriage was struggling. Soon after that day, my husband of 25 years and I amicably parted ways.
We moved from the home we had shared throughout our marriage and from the community, I served as a volunteer, City Commissioner, and business owner. In the years since my life has changed even more. My nest is almost empty, and I am learning to enjoy my daughter’s newfound independence. I have reconnected with my passion for fashion and beauty, my love of creating and writing, and my deep desire to share ideas and the things I learn along the way, and I have found love again!
The thing that has surprised me most about this time in my life is the amount of change that comes in these middle years and the fact that we don’t talk about it! While I thought life would be winding down, I am seeing new opportunities to spread my wings in ways I only dreamed of when I was younger. Best of all, you can craft a new life for yourself too.
Women of my age group, over 50, are experienced. We have a rich toolbox from which to draw and a treasure trove of wisdom, resources, and gifts to share with the world. That’s why we’re the most successful new entrepreneurs, life lovers, and creatives on the planet.
So, here I am, living a very different life, I call it a mid-life renaissance — I think we are all having one — and I’m sharing my journey with you with the hope that we will create a community of like-minded, heart-guided women sharing and comparing notes as we navigate in this amazing second chapter in our lives.

Sharing a Journey FAQ
What size do you wear and how tall are you?
I am 5″7″ and wear a size 2-4, (xs)
Your closet must be huge, do you keep and wear all the clothes you show?
A portion of the clothes I show come from my own closet, many of which I have had for years. I do update my wardrobe quarterly, and receive clothing from brands to feature on the blog. I donate unused items to charity.
What do you do to stay in shape?
I am very careful about portion control and have found that a low-carb diet works best for me. I do yoga most mornings and am an avid ice dancer. Roger is my partner and we skate three or more times a week. We also make use of the gym at the rink, lifting weights one to two times per week. Read more about my weight maintenance here.
Your photos are beautiful, who takes your photos?
Thank you so much for the many compliments we get regarding our photos. Unless otherwise noted, most photos are taken by R. S. Estey Photography. The remainder of the photos are taken by me on my iPhone. We occasionally use stock photos from Adobe, Canva, and Wordswag.
