Every summer I find myself pulling a hand full of “regulars” from my wardrobe over and over. Certain pieces just work and can be styled in so many different ways. They are great for travel and transitioning from warm to cooler days and back again. The best news is that we have most of these pieces in our closets already, and if we don’t, it doesn’t break the bank to add them.White cropped jeans. We all have white jeans, but this season calls for a bit of a crop to show off wedges or flats, depending on your preference. I am a wedge girl, myself. Luckily cropped jeans look great with a variety of shoes, even sneakers. I sometimes just roll up a regular pair of jeans to cropped length, but couldn’t resist giving Levi’s Weggie cropped jeans a try after hearing about them all over the ‘net. I like the strait leg; I think they are so flattering and can be worn by a variety of figure types.
A little black or navy T-Shirt. Now, I’m not that much a fan of black but nothing is easier or classier than white jeans and a black t’shirt a’la Jackie O. Throw on a pair of amazing sunnies, and you can do just about anything.

A white linen button down. From swim suit cover up, to a little extra coverage over a sun dress, button downs are so versatile. I love them tied at the waste with denim shorts, or with a lace cami or bralette peaking out. They are also great for layering on one of those days where it’s cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon, or visa versa.
A cute bralette is another great addition to our summer wardrobes. I love them under linen shirts, of course, but they are super great under sundresses and open back outfits. The right bralette can cover a multitude of sins, and solve a range of fashion dilemmas. I use swim tops the same way. I will often purchase two piece swimsuits just for the top, so I can wear the top under a blouse in the summer.

A comfortable wedge. I’ve been wearing wedges in one style or another all summer long. My Stewart Weitzman’s are great for casual days, and I wear my beige Treasure and Bond wedges with almost everything else. The Treasure and Bond wedges were so popular last year that when I went to get a pair they’d been sold out. I loved them so much I bought a pair this year and have been wearing them almost daily.

A cute dress. Dresses are so much more comfortable than pants or shorts in the summer, yet so few women wear them these days. A dress is a finished look in one, so quick and easy to put on, you don’t need to find things that match; just a dress, shoes and a handbag. Oh, and don’t forget the sunnies! a great pair of sunglasses go a long way!
