When it comes to makeup, women over 50 have a lot of options. With so many products on the market, it can be hard to know which ones are right for you. One of my favorite luxury makeup brands is Dior. I started using Dior eyeshadows in the 1990s–the formulation continues to be perfect and led me to try more from the brand. I haven’t been disappointed. In my opinion, Dior has the best foundation formulations for older women, along with great eyeshadows and lip color.

Finding the right foundation can be difficult as we age. On the one hand, we want a good coverage level to cover dark spots, but we can struggle with products that are too heavy and settle into fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. Dior has done an excellent job with its foundation offering buildable coverage, two finishes, a dewy finish, and a radiant finish, a full range of different shades and, one of my favorite things is that once you know your Dior foundation color, you can purchase across the line–you wear the same color no matter which of the formulations you choose. Best of all, you can create a beautiful natural look with these products.
Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation is perfect for mature skin. Its lightweight formula is buildable, so you can create the coverage you need without looking cakey. Plus, it comes in a convenient spray bottle, making application quick and easy. It offers a subtle radiance and comes in a wide shade range just like all Dior foundations.
Dior Back Stage Face and Body Foundation is one of my favorites. It is a lightweight foundation that offers medium to full coverage and does a great job covering my sun damage, aka age spots. It is definitely a top pick. The finish is a soft matte, but you can add subtle luminosity by using Dior Back Stage Face and Body Primer which is said to reduce pores by 45%. Adding primer is a great way to reduce the appearance of fine lines and is great for drier skin types. Of course, it is a matter of personal preference.
To elevate your results, the Dream Skin Perfector is beloved by women young and old. The product acts as both a moisturizer and a primer, perfecting skin tone and creating a smooth surface for flawless makeup application. Women swear by this!
Concealer:
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer often makes the list of best concealers as well as being a highly-rated product for older skin. It works with any type of foundation finish and covers dark circles with ease. It is a must-have for your makeup bag. It is neither too dry or too moist and doesn’t sink into fine lines and wrinkles as many concealers do.
Powder:
The Diorskin Nude Air Loose Powder is a must-have for mature skin. It helps to even out skin tone and gives your skin a natural, healthy-looking finish. If you like light coverage or are looking for power for touch-ups on the go, this is a great choice.
Lipstick:
One of the highlights of Dior is their lipsticks–in my opinion, they are among the best lipsticks in the luxury market. The Rouge Dior Lipstick is an iconic formula that’s perfect for mature lips.
