Celebrating spring…
It seems as though there is a lot to celebrate today. Spring is springing, flowers are blooming and we may be able to get out walking in the park in another week or so. Shops, restaurants and other small businesses are beginning to open. While there is still a lot of uncertainty, perhaps this is the turning of a corner. While we still have loved ones to pray for and mourn, it is my hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and that bears a little celebration, wouldn’t you say? I hope your answer is yes too.
Here at the Casa, we are cautiously optimistic, about going out, but don’t plan to rush. I have been thinking of what I want to wear when we do go out…especially after two months of being home. What I have worn day to day has gone from PJs to leggings to jeans to maxi dresses depending on my mood. I am ready to put on something really nice and go to lunch at one of our favorite spots, I’m thinking Bon Appetite in Dunedin, where they have a lovely deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. I think that may be the first place I want to go.
Sundresses are the name of my game right now, I am so looking forward to wearing pretty sundresses, feeling feminine, and enjoying the gentle breezes against my shoulders. Here, I am going to share a few favorite sundresses plus a few extra looks I think are cute.
3 Cute Spring Outfits for Women:
I’ve had my eye on this pink floral number from Cami NYC; its so beautiful and feminine. I have longed for the feeling of a dress that flows when you walk. I have been loving these slides, in fact, I got two pair! If you are like me, you won’t be out tanning, though I must say, getting a daily dose of natural vitamin D is definitely a part of our new routine. These days faking a tan is no longer a bad thing. You can add these wonderful tanning drops to your favorite lotion to get a lovely faux sun kissed glow. And finally, an oldie but goodie taken up a notch: Nars has built a whole group of products around their cornerstone Orgasm blush; with eyeshadow and lip color to round out the collection. I think it’s absolutely stunning.
A beautiful vintage floral is also on my radar like this one from Reiss. I have been loving Reiss for the last few seasons. It’s classic designs made modern have captured my heart. I missed my chance to get Natasha Denona’s retro palette on sale, it was sold out when I went to put it in my cart, but it’s definitely on my list of loves, as is this bright Bobby Brown lippie in LuLu. Everyone needs a good pair of wedges this season; these are one of my top picks.
I’m a bit torn about wearing shorts, and mini skirts, myself, but I thought this combo was super cute, again from Reiss. I’d pare it with these Treasure and Bond wedges which are another essential in my book. Plus they aren’t too bad on the pocket book. I couldn’t resist showing you the Nars Orgasm eye shadow palette which is totally gorgeous.
There are a number of white dresses (click to check this one out) I have my eye on over at Reiss, this is a great every day dress; I think it could be worn from lunch with the girls to dinner with Roger. As those who have been around for a while know, I am a hat girl through and through and I couldn’t let you go without a beautiful hat.
As I’ve gotten older, I have come to appreciate scents. Grace is a beautiful, spring time scent; I love light scents that dance on the skin, not too much, just a whiff when you move but not enough that others can smell it.

Dresses are my favorite item of clothing, so I am glad dress weather is here! You’ve chosen some pretty ones.
Nevada will start a phase one reopening tomorrow. While the strategies seem prudent – businesses, including big box stores have to keep the number of patrons at 50% capacity, masks must be worn by employees and encouraged in patrons, and social distancing maintained. However, my husband and I will continue to self-isolate.
Iam the same. I have worn pjs and joggers and now have been wearing dresses. I love dresses! The outfits here are gorgeous Nina! I love florals and classic styles as well. The dress in the pic you are wearing is stunning on you! I bought a few maxi flowy dresses I cant wait to wear out myself. We are in a phase 1 in NC, very gradual.
